It was one of those nights when he decided they were to be lazy. And by they, meaning to refer him and his little group of friends. They were just sitting somewhere in front of a 24 hours store doing nothing. Cigarettes were lighted and the usual beer cans lay on the road where they sat. Feeling kind of bored, Jal picked up some rocks and starting throwing them at the empty cans. He hated feeling 'bored', it was a word he never wanted to be associated with. 'Bored'. The word came off as a little silly to him. As he threw another rock, he thought of how someone could actually pass the line to boredom in this town. There was simply too much to do yet tonight, he decided to be lazy. Some decision that he could actually regret doing. He looked up at the stars and let out a sigh, "oh well, that's been an awesome lazy night," he implied sarcastically, "wish I could stay but yeah, there's more to do in this town mates. See you around." Not even waiting for their response, he turned around and jumped into his car. he sound of the engine roaring made him suddenly realise that he has no plans for then night. Where the hell is he suppose to go to now? The road seemed endless as his destination was not set. So he drove for what seemed like a good 20 minutes. Finally, he found himself walking on the side of the road doing nothing except smoking on a cigarette. Jal wasn't the type to think of things, he didn't like the whole idea of 'thinking'. Yes, there are a lot of things that he'd rather not do. This is only because he knows there is about a million things he could do at the moment to replace such unnecessary doings.
At that particular moment, he received a text message from his dearest friend, Evan Pierce. Just seeing her name in his inbox, he knew she was going to light up his whole night. She was just like his partner in crime. Whenever they came together, it was bound to be an amazing ride. To be honest, he didn't know why he didn't think of her during this miserable 'boring' time. He just felt something about her and he wouldn't call it love. Love is such a big word for him or rather, such a vast word. It's too general for him. His usual definition for love is normally those on beds and doesn't last more than one night. Whatever it was, he knew how it felt but he could never conclude it with a single word, let alone a sentence. He was just content when he's with her, she's simply all that he needs to complete the circle. She wanted to meet up with him and he just felt some kind of euphoria went through him. It was as if he actually took some drug that night. He ran to his car (yes, ran) and abruptly started the engine, all the while having that smile on his face that was starting to hurt his face. Smiling that widely reminded him of all the times he had caused a riot with his 'favourite girl'. And then he thought of how angry she sounded through text. That got him a little disturbed. What could possibly make his angel unhappy at the moment? He just wanted to make her feel happy again. He enjoyed it whenever she's just care-free and crazy. Speaking of which, he's arrived to his destination. The appointed place of their meeting.
The night seemed lighted by the stars and everything just seemed like the Honolulu he knew. The street lights, cars passing by, the kids drunk on the streets, typical. He searched around, his eyes scanning for her. The girl whom he cared for dearly. She was upset and he couldn't let her be for any more than a second. He gave himself a quick check, it wasn't usual for him to check on his appearance. He's usually messy yet somewhat sexy, according to all the people he's fucked. His gray shirt seemed the usual, hanging loosely on his slightly skinny figure. A sweatshirt slightly darker to cover himself from the cold night breeze and his plain blue jeans. He summed it up to looking 'decent'. After all, Evan never judge him for his clothing. He could sense that she enjoyed being around him just the way he felt when he's around her. It was simply perfect, every single time they meet. They never fail to amuse each other. "Is that you, Olly?" Jal called her by the nickname he invented for her. He always thought her first name was too simple, so he called her by her second name. On top of that, he modified it to make it sound cuter. He just love teasing her and remember the day he made that name. She wasn't exactly a big fan of being called that. She looked amazing under the moonlight and the bottle of tequila was just very inviting. He let out a slight giggle as his fingers ran through his hair. Something about his face just said, 'don't worry babe, I'm here and everything's going to be okay'. It was a soft nature on him and it disgusts him at certain points. When with Evan, it just seemed like the right thing to do. Whatever that was going to happen tonight will make their day and he didn't exactly know what to do but he knew that they'd figure it out. Robbing a supermarket or terrorizing passer bys, no matter what they were going to do - it was going to be incredible. He took a seat beside her and took down some tequila to add to his already drowsy fill of beer. A simple smile was added and he just listened to what she had to say.
