Travis felt the same tug on his sheets as he did almost every morning. He opened one eye and stared his bullterrier in the face. Travis let out a loud sigh and rolled on his back. Looking over, there was a mop of blond hair next to him. He looked over and the woman next to him was still sleeping soundly. He couldn’t really remember what happened, but her lack of clothing made it obvious. He really just wanted her to leave. He hated it when they lingered around and came back to him. He was more of a onetime use type of guy, but sometimes, he’d go back to certain women, but it wasn’t very likely that he’d do so unless you were phenomenal. Then again, sometimes, it came to the point where he couldn’t remember if he had been with a person more than once before. It was just the way he was. Thurston was still tugging at the covers, and well, her couldn’t help but groan. He hated mornings, because every morning, his head was pounding. Travis began to smell the coffee that he set for every morning. It was his one and only semi- antidote. The smell wafted into his room, and his eyes couldn’t close to let him sleep anymore. He shook the blonde awake “time to get up” he said as he threw the sheets off of them. The room was a bit chilly but maybe it was because his heat was never really running, it was just another bill to pay.
He lifted his boxers from the ground and slid them on, walking into the kitchen, he opened the black refrigerator and pulled out some milk. He took a mug from the cabinet and filled it with the dark brown liquid which woke him up ever so nicely every morning. He stretched his arms up and let out a beastly yawn, which, was quite normal. Pouring the milk into the cup the dark coffee turned into a lighter brown color. He rubbed his eyes slightly, and turned to go back into his bedroom. The coffee colored curtains kept the light out, which kept the blond girl sleeping which was starting to irritate Travis. He pulled the curtains away and the young woman began to turn in his bed. “Ok, time to get up.” The blond smiled and Travis couldn’t help but give one of his famous, yet fake smiles. ”I have to go to work” he said as he took a pair of pants out from his closet along with a tee shirt from his sponsored days. The days where he was actually happy and worth at least a small bit of something. Now his days, they were spent in a clothing shop in the joint. Which, to him was a complete downfall. He walked over to the door and put on a matching pair of sneakers, grabbed his wallet and cell phone and opened the door ”When you leave, make sure you lock the door. And do you mind feeding Thurston? Thanks.” he said to the blond who was putting on her clothes. This was quite routine for him, and well, he couldn’t really help but laugh at himself. He always ended up doing this all the time, and he was somewhat amazed that no one had spread the word about how shitty of a man he was.
Travis went down to his garage and grabbed his BMX bike. The joint wasn’t that far away, so he rode his bike to work every morning. He loved the feeling of his bike. He loved handling it and doing minor tricks on it. He finally reached work, and well, no one was really there except for other managers of their stores. He walked upto Zumies, his store, and took out his keys and unlocked the gate, pulling it up half way, he slid underneath. Doing the regular cashier count and such, he turned on the lights to the store. He went to the back of the store to make himself another coffee seeing as the one that he drank at home, didn’t do much for him. He walked back out to the floor and raised the gate all the way, sitting on the cashier counters with his coffee in hand waiting for someone to come into his store, at least to entertain him. A good looking woman wouldn’t be that bad either.
